Huge and imposing, oozing with history especially the last 100 years. Germans very open now about events of WWII and the persecution of the Jews.
-3C and sunny. -3C is not that cold if there is no wind. Every city we arrive at we grab a map and orientate ourselves quite quickly. We walk everywhere! Which is great as we explore some hidden corners of the cities we have visited. Feeling pretty fit as I haul my 20kg suitcase around everywhere - up escalators, stairs, cobblestone streets, winding staircases etc.. There is so much to see in Berlin, I had to use panorama setting on my camera otherwise would have spent too much time snapping photos.

Lindtz Easter Bunny in Berlin Mall. There has been no commercialism around Easter anywhere we have been so far in Europe - it is very subtle and tasteful - not like in NZ where it is in your face 6 weeks before!
