Venice - we stayed in Venice at San Marco in a Venetian apartment. We finally hit the tourist crowd although not as bad as full on tourist season but fairly crowded. Best time to see Venice if you are not hooked on shopping is late evening and early morning.
Erik found a piano in St Lucia station and started playing Keevas theme, it sounded lovely and drew a crowd, he made a couple of mistakes and walked away not realising so many people were enjoying it.

We explored and got away from the tourists and came across a community garden/centre. We stayed here and had a pizza dinner at the local restaurant.
