BRATISLAVA - SLOVAKIA

Bratislava - very run down but a very cool little city.  Restoration is happening albeit very slowly but is well worth a visit.  We stayed in a apartment for as little as $15NZD per person. We spent the day seeing all the city sights.

 Thor and Eriks Room

 Quite modern bathrooms and kitchen

Patio garden out the back of the building

The Blue Church (or Smurf church as it is affectionately called) definitely my favourite church so far.

Some road works.  The pavements and roads are in very poor condition, have to watch the ankle sprains.

 St Martins Plaza

If you wander off the main streets there are all these quirky little atriums with cafes and boutique shops.  They are entrances to peoples apartments as well.

One of the best photos I have taken so far on this trip - will do a painting or something with it.

On the way up to the Castle

Erik keeps finding these cute little seats

View from Bratislava castle over the river

 Rough pavement

New Zealand wine on the menu
 Beersies!
It was such a nice sunny afternoon/evening everyone was outside relaxing in the sun having a drink.  Very nice atmosphere.
